Two Years minus 2 Months

Come to think of it, the last time I blogged was..... 8months ago???

My girl has grown so much within 8months! She adores Pocoyo, and I noticed that she's starting to like the Disney Princesses. She loves gadgets. Iphones, laptops are always the perfect remedies for her fussiness. BUT, I don't like it. Once in a while is fine, too much is like gadget overdose. NOT GOOD. So now I'm trying my best to limit her (and my) gadget time. Our gadget days are Saturdays and Sundays. She can watch youtube until she's sick of it on weekends XD.

We spent almost the whole year without Ayah. The beginning of the year he was posted in Batam and we only meet every weekend. Then after that until end of the year he is posted in Jakarta and we only meet every two weeks. Sad in a way, but we need to adjust to that kind of life. I still need to go to work and after awhile I got used to it. I got used to doing groceries shopping alone, handle everything myself, and go out with a friend once in a while. So she spent almost all her second year with very few presence of Ayah.

I'm trying to wean her off, sometimes it works, sometimes I just lost patience and do it the fast way (offer the breast). But I guess need to be consistent soon enough. Next year I'm planning to start on her potty training. Bismillah. With or without Ayah, we'll do it. Her speech is still vague, blurred and not articulated yet. We're still trying to work on it but some words she just still couldn't articulate. I guess we just need to be patient and keep on trying.

As she gets bigger, she understands things more, I can reason my way with her. Rather than forcing her to let go of things or take things away I choose to reason it out. It DOES take A LOT of patience. But I find it easier on the long run.

She's a very "clean" person. She doesn't like dirtiness or a mess (which is good). So far she eats almost anything, grows most of her teeth and she's about 83cm tall and weighs 12kg. She has finished all her vaccinations, spent this year with very minimum flu and sickness and grows up healthy. She knows when to give a proper hug and kiss. She's adorable especially when she sleeps. I couldn't wait until she grows up and we can talk about things. But for now, I'm enjoying my part of monologue, cause later on, she'll monopolize the conversation.

Review: GG Pull Up

Waktu itu beli dari online shop Clodiforbaby. Penasaran pengen coba soalnya si GG ini pull-up. Asha kan udah 13bulan, jadi udah mulai mikirin training pantsnya. Kayanya lumayan jg si GG pull up buat jd training pants. Kan tinggal diporotin aja gitu.

Trial version cuma beli 3 dan lumayan puas!
Advantage:
1. Lapisan outer covernya soft banget, kalo si anak pup gampang bgt dibersihinnya. Tinggal disemprot dan noda2 kuningnya ga nempel.
2. Bahannya empuk dan enak
3. Masalah daya serap aku kurang tau ya, tapi so far sih buat 2-3jam gak bocor. Soalnya emang karena asha agak heavy wetter, jdnya tiap 2-3jam sekali hrs ganti.
4. Insertnya berukuran besar dan panjang. Tp aku jarang pake insert GG buat GG. Soalnya kita mau preserve si insert2 yg msh baru dan mengoptimalisasi yg lama. Kita pny bnyk bgt insert bumwear yg udh sering bgt dipake. Jadinya seringnya sih pake insert lama.
5. Harga standar clodi lokal lah. Rp80,000 an udh sama insert. 

Disadvantage:
1. Ukurannya besaaar.. Asha beratnya 10kg dan masih kegedean aja gitu. Secara fitting agak kurang memenuhi syarat "All size".
2. Karena masih kegedean jd pas dipake bagian bawahnya agak menggantung.
3. Dibandingkan disposable pull up yg berkaret di pinggang, ini mungkin agak kedodoran di pinggang karena ga ada "karet"nya. Tp di paha so far sih gak ada masalah.

Kesimpulan:
GG Pull Up ini kayanya paling cocok buat anak2 yang udh 10kg and above dan berpaha montok karena ukurannya emang gede banget. Bisa dipake buat toilet training jg ketika wktnya tiba nanti.
Dari segi cleaning up emang enak banget, tp ini karena msh baru loh. Gatau ntar klo udah lama dipake jadi berbulu dan berkurang daya serapnya apa gak.
Aku paling suka sm clodi lokal itu dari segi "tipisnya" lapisan outer cover jadi ga bikin panas dan ga apek dan sumpek baunya. Dibandingkan sm produk2 impor yg lapisan outer covernya tebel (utk menyerap banyak cairan) kadang malah kalo kelamaan dipake begitu dibuka jadi apek dan sumpek baunya. Mungkin karena tebel jd kepanasan jg.

Overall dari segi harga dan kualitas, bolehlah dicoba.

1 year old milestones

Asha is one year alreadyyy yeaayyy!!!

She has grown so much in the past year. I'm so happy to see her growing well.
By this time:
- she has walked steadily
- she can mutter a few words such as "apa tuh?", "siapa", "teteh", "ayah", "meng", "gukguk".
- her bowel movement is getting better.
- she seems to have built up her own appetite so she's starting to be choosy.
- she likes pointing fingers at things she tot was interesting.
- she knows when it's time for me to go to work, then she'll wave "dadah".
- she is still enjoying herself but slowly socializing.

We didn't celebrate it. We bought a cake tho, and we ate it hahaha.



May Allah always protect and guide her wherever she is cause I won't always be around, but Allah will.

We love you with all might that Allah allows us to and we will do the best that we can do to prepare you for life and after life.

Have a great life ahead darling, cos your life has just begun!
